Barri Gotic

I still have to buy some poscards and stamps. Maybe I will do that tomorrow.

This is the longest period of time that I haven't seen snow. I went ice skating a few times but I didn't see any real snow (except for when it snowed at Catholic for about twenty minutes. It didn't stick to the ground or anything so I don't count it as real snow)

Well, today we got our rent all paid for. We all had to go around to different ATMs because we can only take so much out of each ATM. And some of our banks have a limit on the amount we can take out every 24 hours. It was quite a hectic afternoon but we got it all squared away. After that we went to our studio for the first time. It isn't too bad. We are supposed to get wireless Internet in it so hopefully I will be able to be on line more and not have to worry about losing my internet connection at any mooment. The apartment agency offered to install wireless internet in our apartment but we don't think it's worth the money because we have just been bumming off other wireless networks that our computers can pick up.

At the studio, we met our professor Eugena. She is going to be teaching our field trip/sketching class. She took us on a walking tour through the old city. She explained to us in a brief history about how the city grew. it was pretty interesting. On the tour we saw the Cathedral of Barcelona and a Roman grave yard. When we were at the grave yard, a black cat jumped out from behind a tombstone right in front of Gisela and me. It kind of scared us. I don't know how well my pictures turned out because we didnt start the tour until sunset, so most of it was at night. I still have four months to go back to it all so I am not worried. After the tour, we went grocery shopping for dinner and then came back to our apartment. The people from the other apartment came over for dinner and we ate salad, chicken, rice, and we had some frozen pizzas for appetizers. We are going to do the group meal each week and alternate between the two apartments. I think the meals will work out fine. So far it has been good.

Classes start for us tomorrow so I should probably be getting to bed. We are meeting at the subway stop at 9 am for our 10 am Spanish class. None of us are ready for school to start.
